Marketing Photography
“A picture paints a thousand words” I believe this to be true, non more so that in marketing photography. Marketing photographing is specifically to help businesses increase their credibility and visibility. It can show them to be a leader in their field, showing off their work to the very best, to attract the clients they want to work with, to ultimately help them grow their business. Business owners are often very talented and great at what they do, but not always great at showing off the quality of their work and getting across how good they are.
When looking at your website:
Does it say what your USP is?
Does is reflect your brand?
Do you have a distinctive brand?
How can you differentiate yourself?
What is your Conversion Rate?
You can have all the traffic in the World visiting your website but if the website does not engage and impress the viewer they will not take that next step and contact you. Professional tailored photography can significantly help increase your conversion rate, making a company much more credible to portray they are experts in their industry.
Marketing your business, your brand, and you.
What makes you unique?
What makes someone want to buy from you?
What is your USP?
For most small businesses what makes them stand out is a personal service and a better quality of product or service. It is often about attention to detail. Ultimately it is likely to be because of ‘YOU’. You are the one a consumer has chosen to buy from, not simply because they are in the market for what you do, but you offer something more or different to any other company you are in competition with. You go that extra mile. You exceed a persons expectations of what they expect from the service you provide.
Interiors and Architectural Photography
People in the design industry such as bespoke kitchen companies, interiors designers, and architects understand the benefits of quality professional photography to show off their designs to their very best. Interiors and Architectural photography is not just about pretty pictures. It is about ‘selling a lifestyle’. It is ‘aspirational’. It is ‘emotional’. Good quality photography should allow the viewer to envisage themselves in that room, sat having a drink of wine, reading a book, listening to music, entertaining with guests, or cooking a meal in the kitchen. I spend time dressing a room, tidying a room to give the right impression. My clients are offering a high quality product or service. It is often an aspirational product or service, and it is emotion that will often be a deciding factor as to whether someone will buy from them. Understanding what a company wants from their photography, what they want to say in the message they want to convey, and who they are trying to attract, will determine the photographs I take and the ideas I will come up with in my marketing photography.
Stock Images
Companies using stock images do not necessarily represent a business as well as they may think. Although stock photographs are usually of a high quality and standard, but they do not portray that personal look and feel. They often give a business a much more corporate appearance, often making a business look much larger than it is, but ofter to the detriment of those clients looking for a high quality of service and a personal service. Personalised professional photography is often overlooked by companies in its promotion.
What makes me different is that I believe photography is more than just pretty pictures, particularly in marketing and PR photography. Photographs should tell a story and give a feeling that encourages a positive action. I offer a personal service and believe in giving optimum quality with great attention to detail and standard of service. I find out about a client, what a client wants, what message they want to convey, who they want to attract, who their main competitors are and where they want to use the photographs. I offer suggestions and ideas to get them thinking about something different, and I focus on the end goal. There has to be a reason for marketing and PR photography, and it is my job to ensure that reason is fulfilled as best it can be. Ultimately I offer great quality photography with my own unique and innovative style
